You are Faithful

While at church this morning we sang a song that continually reminds me that God is with us on every step of our journey through life as well as our journey through adoption.  I can be somewhat of a control freak (yes, I can admit it!), and when entering into new territory I like to know exactly what to expect.  Well, as we all know, adoption really doesn't follow any eact timeline or expectations.  I have to be open to what God has for us and except it with joy.  While singing this song, I just kept feeling so humbled as I was reminded that it is through God that we walk through life.  And even when we are approaching something unknown (which can be scary!)  He NEVER leaves us alone.  "Never once did we ever walk alone" 

Great Book!

Wow, I just read a book in one sitting because it was so good I couldn't put it down...Adopt Without Debt. Wonderful book with so many inspirational stories of adoption and how God provides the means when we are obedient to Him. For more info check out adoptwithoutdebt.com

Day One:

Although this post is titled "Day One" it is really only one of the steps of a long journey that started in our hearts many years ago.  We have felt the call to adoption for quite some time, but today is a mile stone....we mailed in our application to the agency who will be helping us to complete our adoption of our sweet baby from Uganda.  We are excited, scared, but oh so ready to see what God has in store for us and our family!  We hope that this blog may serve as a way to document this great adventure that our Heavenly Father has called us to.  We appreciate all prayers and support that you may send our way!
